About Life

Welcome to my Bible teaching ministry.

My name is Kennith C. Gray – a.k.a. KC to my friends or “Kace” pronounced “case” for those who are family or just as close.

It all started in 1998 when I made a decision to accept Jesus as my Lord and personal saviour (heavy on the saviour…not so much on the Lord part…letting God lead took me awhile). Don’t get me wrong, I was a “good person” as most people would say about themselves, but something was missing. I found out it was a relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit dwelling within me that was missing. Nothing else could fill the God-void that I felt.

After my decision to follow Jesus I was compelled to learn and serve Jesus more…I went on mission trips, men’s retreats and read the scriptures…especially “Acts of the Apostles” and “Proverbs”.

It was while reading those books, that I began to see discrepancies in what was written in the Bible and what my experience was as a church goer. You may be able to relate.

For instance I read in the “Book of Acts” that believers had “all things common…and that none lacked” and in Proverbs that “a good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children“, but as I looked around it seemed there were very few people living at that level or owned anything of lasting value.

I also read Mark 16:17-18 where it says, “these signs shall follow them that believe…they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover…” and in several of the epistles “that we were to be encouragers of each other” and in one of John’s letters (paraphrased) “you can’t say you love God if you don’t love your brother” and it went on and on.

The most damaging one for me was Jesus’ words, “go ye into the world and teach (make Disciples)…” and yet I didn’t feel I was being discipled and I certainly didn’t see us (the Body of Christ) going into the world. We (the Body) went from church building to church building (visiting pastor here, visiting pastor there); not that this is a bad thing, but we seemed to be losing ground rather than taking ground for the gospel and helping people out of their situations.

As much as I liked to talk about Jesus; being a part of men’s ministries; and going on mission trips, I had no plans or desire to start a “full-time ministry”. I was an entrepreneur, so to spend time building a ministry was out of the question. Even when people (some virtual strangers) would call or ask me if I was a pastor I would shrug it off and say “I’m a Christian entrepreneur“. However, people kept coming and asking; and with them; confirming words, dreams and visions, and prophetic words from ministers all around me…”you’ve been called to ministry“.

I finally admitted to my subconscious that indeed God has called me to teach his word…actually God personally told me in a dream one night back in 2008. You think I would be obedient after that, right? Wrong. I still wanted to build my business first, so that I didn’t have to “tax” the people who would join themselves to my ministry. All this, while already baptized in the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, several years before the 2008 dream (revelation from God).

However, I still wasn’t willing to start a ministry. In fact, I ran from church and stopped serving and stopped fellowship in protest to what I saw as religious routine and hypocrisy.

As a consolation or partial obedience (which is still disobedience) I was studying and praying more with the understanding that I was “called” and I figured that in God’s timing he would make a way for what He has purposed for me to do. I held onto the truth that He who has begun a work in you will finish it and that what He had given me by way of correction and direction to teach, would come forth.

So, I typed and dated my sermons in my word processor and wrote whatever I heard from God, the pulpit and anything else that resonated in my spirit until such a time as this…16 years later – yes I admit it, I used to be very stubborn.

As for the name Life Freedom Dominion Ministry, it was born out of prayer and meditation (reflection) on what I experienced as a believer for over 10 years – I saw many ministers that were good at building congregations, but not people and God said “I want you to DISCIPLE (build people)” and I said how can I disciple when I haven’t been discipled and He said, “I have given you the Holy Spirit who will disciple you” just as the words of Jesus are recorded “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

So here we are June 8, 2013 and I’m still learning to yield (being discipled) and I hope you will be blessed by what is written within the pages of Life Freedom Dominion Ministry.

It’s more than a name it’s actually the divine process that God has given me to disciple His people.

Step 1 is Life:
You must first get A Life and that Life is Jesus –  messages and anecdotes in this category will build your spiritual foundation and teach on the topic of what it means to be a “born again” Christian and who you have become in Christ. It’s only when you understand who you are that will you be free from what the world and others say or want you to be.

Step 2 is Freedom:
Once you know who you are in Christ you will begin to see and accept the truths written in this category and shake yourself free from religion and religious duties, rules and laws and begin to LIVE the LIFE of a believer, unchained from the world and the world system…you will be increasingly kingdom minded. As our slogan says “If you worry about what people think then you are not free.”

Step 3 is Dominion:
I’m a proud Canadian and I’ve heard many people say “we are weak and passive”, but that is not how the country was formed. The freedom we experience in this country is because of brave men and women whose beliefs lined up with the Christian faith. In fact, the early founders of the confederation were inspired by Psalm 72:8 when attempting to agree on a name for this great country. Here is an except from Wikipedia.org on the adoption of the name, Dominion of Canada:

New Brunswick premier Sir Samuel Leonard Tilley suggested the term ‘Dominion’, inspired by Psalm 72:8 (from the King James Bible): “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.” This is also echoed in Canada’s motto: A Mari Usque Ad Mare (Latin for “from sea to sea”).

All that to say, in the Dominion category I will share ideas on preserving the values and greatness of Canada along with insight on how to have dominion in all areas of life – finances, anger, sin, sexual appetite, depression, sickness and disease, and even the devil himself until Jesus comes again!

Will you join me in allowing God’s Word and His Spirit to mould us into His image?

Let’s pray:
Father I thank you for the grace you’ve given me as I struggled with obedience and lack of belief. I’m ready to let Jesus be Lord so that He may increase and my pride may decrease. Lord take full control of my life, set me free so that I, through you, will have dominion and do your will in the earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life and it is in His name and authority that I pray….AMEN!

This is truly an inspiration of God and I am very proud of you Brother Ken for answering to the call of God. Can you even imagine if someone like Paul didn’t do as God inspired him. Praise The Lord and thank God for the Holy Spirit that leads and guides us. May he cause the devil to flee each time he thinks of sending an attack your way and may he touch not The Lord’s anointed. I bind any spirit that is not of God right now in the name of Jesus. God bless and I plead the blood of Jesus on you right now and angels to go with you to protect you always. Amen
